Clinikk, a Bengaluru-based health technology start-up, is launching its all-inclusive health subscriptions which aim to reduce medical costs to zero by integrating health insurance into its comprehensive outpatient care delivery model.

With this subscription model, Clinikk subscribers can visit any of Clinikk’s 18 primary care centers called Clinikk Health Hubs in Bengaluru (16) and Hyderabad (2) and easily receive unlimited medical care.

Clinikk offers an all-inclusive formula that provides families with unlimited access to outpatient care as well as Cashless hospitalization insurance coverage of 5 lakh for a monthly subscription of 500. Insurance cover has been arranged especially for Clinikk members by an insurance partner. The subscription also provides Clinikk subscribers and their families with round-the-clock support from their family doctors, either virtually or through Clinikk’s technology care centers. In addition, subscribers are also entitled to free diagnostics and medication prescribed by doctors.

Clinikk focuses on over 600 million Indians who can neither afford private insurance nor be covered by a company plan but who yearn for quality private care. Without access to an outcome-based primary care model and adequate health protection, this segment falls into the high-risk category, starting with catastrophic medical expenses.

Currently, health insurance options offer limited protection, mainly for hospitalizations only, which inordinately increases out-of-pocket out-of-pocket expenses for outpatient care, which make up the bulk of healthcare expenditures.

“Health protection in India is a product-side issue, as it only focuses on catastrophic medical expenses resulting from hospitalization, but not on recurring day-to-day medical expenses such as seeing a doctor or getting blood tests done. “, said Bhavjot Kaur, co-founder and CEO, Clinikk. “Recurrent medical expenses are equally depleting, and therefore a holistic health plan must provide financial protection for both catastrophic and recurring health conditions,” she added.

Clinikk’s technology platform helps its physicians with automated clinical decision support that is integrated into their workflows and ensures that patients receive safe, efficient, and protocol-based care. A technology-driven care team model also allows Clinikk to deliver essential promotional and preventive care at scale and efficiently.

Additionally, by capitalizing on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) nationwide infrastructure, Clinikk will also be able to integrate care data from multiple providers to design personalized care plans for its members to keep them in healthy, committed and help them avoid medical emergencies. This helps improve outcomes and reduce costs for patients, insurers and the healthcare ecosystem as a whole.

Clinikk has so far raised $6.4M from renowned investors like MassMutual Ventures, 500 Startups, Internet Times and top angels like Kunal Shah, Rohit MA, Rajan Anandan, etc.
