The Director General of the Ministry of Health, Nachman Ash, announces that tonight, the list of “red” countries banned from flying will be canceled.

This will end the travel ban imposed by Israel on the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Switzerland, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mexico.

Ash predicts that daily cases will continue to break previous records in the coming days, reaching 30,000 in three days and 50,000 in one week.

He says that alongside the Omicron strain of the coronavirus, the Delta strain is also experiencing a resurgence. He estimates that most of today’s severe patients have Delta.
