He recently resigned as chairman of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), a post he had held ever since. November 2018April 2022. Previously he was Minister of the Department of Health, Chairman of the Care Quality Commission and Chairman of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is still vice-president of Lazard in London and chairs the Cambridge Life Sciences Council.

David first discovered TympaHealth a few years ago as a pioneering NHS spin-off company and one of the case studies in the NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur programme. On meeting Dr. Krishan RamdouAn NHS ENT surgeon, he was inspired by Krishan’s vision to digitize the ear and hearing care journey and move services safely from the hospital setting to the community.
