(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, June 11 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Health on Saturday announced the management of 168 cases through bedridden services for the elderly and disabled, according to the updated protocols in the various governorates of the country since the launch of the special medical program less than a month ago.
Dr. Dina Al-Dhubaib, director of the Central Department of Primary Health Care, said in a press statement on Saturday that the patients assisted included 77 cases in the capital governorate, 21 in the Farwaniya governorate, 25 in the governorate. of Hawalli, 31 in the Ahmadi governorate. and 14 in Jahra Governorate.
Al-Dhubaib said the home visits included monitoring the condition of elderly and disabled people with chronic illnesses through multidisciplinary medical teams consisting of a family doctor, a dentist, a a physiotherapist, a pharmacist, a nurse, a laboratory technician and a nutritionist.
She recalled that the submission of the service request is done via the ministry’s website from Sunday to Thursday (8 a.m. to 7 p.m.), except Thursday (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.), with the medical reports of the references attached. It is also possible to apply and request the service through the health center depending on the area of ​​residence. (end)
