Indian Institute of Technology (BHU)-Varanasi, I-DAPT Hub Foundation will organize the National Mega Event IDAPT Health-tech Hackathon Finals on July 28-29 during which applications have been received from students/innovators/start-ups of the health technology sector from all over India. After several selection rounds, 15 teams were finally shortlisted.

This hackathon is one of those steps towards that goal. These events are also supported by Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) under India’s National Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical System Mission funded by the Department of Science and Technology.

The hackathon consists of exhibits and interactive discussion sessions from prominent speakers. Dean (R&D), Prof. Vikash Kumar Dubey, said Dr. Sanjay Singh, CEO and Executive Director, Genova Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dr. Ajay Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Head of mRNA Department, Genova Pharmaceuticals Limited, Prof. Sanket Goel, Dean, Sponsored Research and Consulting Director and Founder, Cleome Innovations, BITS Pilani are among the external guests at this hackathon.

These teams will present their products/prototypes to the members of the jury and to the other participants. Winners and runners-up will receive cash prizes worth Rs 1.70 lakh and free internship opportunities at IIT (BHU)-Varanasi. In addition to live demonstrations of prototypes, the hackathon will also include themed discussion sessions by experts from industry and academia, panel discussions and exhibits.

Director of IIT (BHU), Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain, said the institute is continuously working on the development of critical and emerging technologies in the medical technology sector.
